Two years ago I decided to buy a BMW matching my Google Pagerank. Since last PR update (PR4), I drove a nice 4 series. Just paid $55k for it. Last night I was astonished to see that my Webanalyticsbook.com domain showed a Google PR9…….can you imagine? I couldn’t. Now I have to run to the BMW dealer and fulfill my mission: A brand new 9 series BMW!
Not really true, but because you care about Google’s Pagerank, you deserve reading this nonsense. Just like many other blogs wasted the time of thousands of people, I just wasted yours.
Here my reasons, why I think the whole debate is unnecessary:
1. .There is no prove that Google dropped the PR of specific blogs due to paid postings
2. I haven’t seen anybody proving a traffic drop due to the PR drop
3. Google can do whatever they want to do their product!
4. The whole discussion is based on rant / link bait / boredom.
To summarize today’s event:
The Google PR is obsolete..and we know this for years. If Google really cares about gaming the system, they should switch it off or much easier….webmasters should just get rid of the Google toolbar. Period.
