A Guru (Avinash) says something, two weeks later some web developer executes it. You got to love the Internet.

Joost just released an impressive wordpress blog metrics plugin based on Avinash Kaushik’s ideas. The plugin calculates:

  • Raw Author Contribution:
    • average number of posts per month
    • average number of words per post
  • Conversation Rate:
    • average number of comments per post without your own comments
    • average number of words used in comments to posts

    Actually the first version of that plugin was released a day after the post by Avinash :) but thx for the kind words :)

    Hey Joost,

    Next time read my blog! I postet about the blog metrics a half year ago. And some of Avinash’s stuff was included.
    Anyways….Great tool! Well done!
